crazy january challenge list

I finally gathered up my projects for the Crazy January Challenge 2011.

So, my crazy list is:
-BC - Liberty
-BC - Summer
-BC - Winter House
-BC - Wooly
-CCN - Cottage Garden
-Janynn - Bert & Ernie
-LHN - Comfort
-LHN - Faith
-LHN - Pear
-LHN - Snow White
-LK - Cupcake
-LK - Eek, Boo, Hiss
-LK - Snowman '10
-PS - Let it Snow
-Trilogy - Boo Tall Trio kit

Most of these I just grabbed out of the kitted drawer, as they have been residing there for way too long! Is it crazy that it didn;t even make a dent in the amount of projects waiting in there?? They are pretty much smaller projects, but somehow that just seems much more manageable with our crazy life right now. I may not start these on each of the first 15 days like the rules say since I'm working on finishing up a few smaller things first, but we will see. Maybe I'll just get a few stitches in at least. But for now, I have to finish kitting these up so they are ready to go.

I've also been working on a cute little owl kit I got in my stocking, but I'll post some progress a little later after I get more stitched on it.

Hi everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Ours was busy, but definitely great. I only have a few minutes, but wanted to let you all know that the shop is having an after Christmas sale:

Stock up now on ornament cuts for next year!

In other fun topics, did anyone get any stitching items for Christmas? Do share - I love to hear what everyone got!!

charts! fabric! oh my!

Well, there hasn't been much stitching going on. We are too busy getting ready for Christmas! I thought I was pretty much ready but found myself out yesterday looking for stocking stuffers for the hubs. Is it just me, or did December just fly by?

In more storefront news, Stitches and Stash now carries charts! We are in the process of converting from our eBay store to an Internet site, so please excuse our dust!

We also still have a good variety of ornament fabric cuts all packaged and ready to go...

And some still in the process of being packaged!

Get them while they last! We may still carry some of the popular colors during the year, but most won't be reordered until next Christmas.

I'm still contemplating the Crazy January challenge. Probably because I'm just that crazy! Or maybe insane? Either way, the few projects I have picked out so far aren't very big, so I think if I stick to the smaller ones, it will definitely be more manageable. Of course every time I go shopping through my stash, I find more and more projects that I forgot about that I still want to do. And others that I probably won't ever do and that will likely be finding their way up on eBay.

Well, I better get my work finished up so hopefully I can curl up on the couch tonight and finish my ornament! Looks like my poor Prairie Schooler ornaments may have to wait another year to be completed and on our tree, but it's all good.

almost done....

I had a few minutes to stitch and got a little more done on the reindeer ornament:

Please excuse the bad quality of the picture - I took it with my phone. I think I should be able to get it finished up next time I work on it.

Thanks for all the comments on my last post. We think (and hope!) the heater is fixed, but running our trusty little space heater dried up our Christmas tree. Ack! So we'll be getting a new one. We can't very well have a crusty dried up tree for Christmas! It's too bad though - it really was a nice tree. (Doesn't it sound like the Charlie Brown music should chime in here? LOL)

Well, I better finish up the chores and laundry so I can hopefully finish up my reindeer a tonight. Fun times!

slow progress....

I have a little progress on my reindeer ornament:

It's not as much as I would have liked, but our heater went out and we have been camped out in one room with the space heater, so it hasn't been the easiest to stitch. But hopefully it is all fixed now, and I can get this finished up soon. Can you believe Christmas is only about two weeks away? How did that happen?!?

intrigued

Have you seen this? I'm very intrigued. This could be fun! There are so many projects that I would like to do. Maybe this will help me get some done! The problem would be choosing only 15.... I'm leaning towards smaller or medium projects for the coming year, so we will see what I come up with.

Is anyone else doing this challenge too?

block party and ornaments

I'm a little late posting this finish, but I got Block Party finished up over the holiday weekend:

Such a fun stitch - I love the colors in this one!

Now that the house has been decked for the holiday, it's time to pull out my Prairie Schooler ornaments I have been working on for the past couple years. Yes, it's true... they have been neglected! I finished three and am almost done with the reindeer, then 4 more. It will be nice to have these finished up and on the tree, hopefully this year unless I get distracted with other projects....

I'm stitching these on 32ct raw ornament cuts. There are also a few blue fabrics that I would love to find a fun snowman design for. I'm going to have to pull out those ornament magazines and see what would work. Too many projects, too little time! Anyone else have a super long want-to-stitch list like me?
